Don’t try to understand everything, because sometimes it is not meant to be understood. But to be accepted.

True happiness is an acceptance of life as it is given to us, with its diminishment, mystery, uncontrollability, and all.

What this means basically is when you have close friends, certain things like saying thanks or what not doesn’t need to be said; you already know that they are thankful.

For example, I helped my buddy move a couple of weeks ago and he texted me saying, “I know I don’t really need to say this, but thanks again”. Knowing him for 14 years, saying stuff like this is really unnecessary; especially all the stuff we’ve gone through, it’s expected that 1) I help 2) he’s thankful.

That’s always been the mentality with me and my boys; we do stuff for each other and being as close as we are, we don’t need to say anything else. …

Fibre speeds of 1.4Tb/s achieved by BT(British Telecom), Alcatel-Lucent

Alcatel-Lucent and BT achieve fastest real-world fiber speeds of 1.4Tb/s with a world record spectral efficiency of 5.7b/s/Hz over core network.

Paris, January 21, 2014 – Alcatel-Lucent (Euronext Paris and NYSE: ALU) and BT have today announced trial speeds of up to 1.4Tb/s with a record spectral efficiency of 5.7 bits per second per Hertz (b/s/Hz)on an existing core fiber connection. This is believed to be the fastest speed ever achieved in commercial grade hardware in a real-world environment and is equivalent to transmitting 44 HD films in a single second.

The field trial, conducted over an existing fiber link between the BT Tower in London and BT’s Adastral Park research campus in Suffolk, used a new ‘flexible grid’ infrastructure (Flexgrid) to vary the gaps between transmission channels, usually set at 50Gigahertz (GHz). By increasing the density of channels on the fiber, this approach achieved up to 42.5 percent greater data transmission efficiency compared to today’s standard networks.

Researchers used a new “flexigrid” infrastructure, which created an “alien super channel” made up of seven 200 gigabits per second (Gbps) channels, to vary the gaps between transmission channels. Increasing the channels’ density resulted in a 42.5 percent increase in the efficiency of data transmission compared with current standard networks.

Give Thanks with GRATITUDE.

GRATITUDE Unlocks the Fullness of LIFE
GRATITUDE is the Best ATTITUDE.

Expression of thankfulness and gratitude is a virtue. While thankfulness is expressed in words; gratitude is shown in acts and deeds. So, one can say that thankfulness is the beginning, and gratitude is an end. Cicero regarded gratitude not only as “the greatest of the virtues but the parent of all others”. You feel gratitude towards the person who goes beyond the call of duty. Gratitude requires that the person feeling grateful demonstrates his recognition of the good done to him.

Gratitude is natural and is the sincere desire in human beings to repay others for what has been received from them. You are grateful for receiving and wish to repay a debt – a rina. The Bhagwad Gita calls those who do not have this natural urge and tendency to be urina (free from debts) — as ‘demoniacal’ – asuras. They do not understand “what is not to be done; nor does purity or even good conduct for truthfulness exist in them”. They have “vanity, pride and arrogance”.
When a person is given something without deserving or earning it, he does not appreciate the favour. He becomes ungrateful and lazy. He wishes to harm the person who has bestowed the favour on him.
Modern research has also shown that ‘those who practice gratitude tend to be more creative, bounce back more quickly from adversity, have a stronger immune system, and have stronger social relationships than those who do not practice gratitude’. That is why we must like the poet George Herbert and pray,

“Thou that has given so much to me,

Give one thing more, a grateful heart”.

Kabhi jo badal barse, mai dekhu tujhe aankhe bhar k,
Tu lage mujhe pehli barish ki dua..
Tere pehlu me reh lu,mai khud ko pagal keh lu,
Tu gam de khushiyan sehlu sathiyan..

Koiii nahiii, tere siva mera yahan, manzile hai meri to sab yahan..
Mita de sabhi aaja fasle mai chahu mujhe mujhse bant le..
Zara sa mujhme tu jhank le, mai hu kya..??

Pehle kabhi na tune mujhe gam diya, Fir mujhe kyu tanha kar diya..
Guzare the jo lamhe pyaar k, Humesha tujhe apna maan k..
To fir tune badli kyu ada..?? Ye kyu kiya..??

Kabhi jo badal barse, mai dekhu tujhe aankhe bhar k,
Tu lage mujhe pehli barish ki dua..
Tere pehlu me reh lu,mai khud ko pagal keh lu,
Tu gam de khushiyan sehlu sathiyan..
Sathiyan…
